Windows Live Photo Gallery is a great tool included with Windows 7 that can be used to organize and publish your photo collection in a variety of different ways. Whether you’re looking to organize your personal photo collection, publish and share photos online, edit or fix photos, or even create DVDs to share with family and friends, the Windows Live Photo Gallery just might be the right piece of software for you.
In this video, I’ll give you a short overview of some of the main features and bundled tools in Windows Live Photo Gallery. Once you’re done watching this video, I recommend checking out a few of my other free videos that provide a more in-depth look at Windows Live Photo Gallery for Windows 7.

Dear Bill, I enjoy your training sessions.
I have a question: Why does Windows 7 “my pictures” and Windows live Gallery also, does not let you re-arrange your photo line up ?????
I looked high and low to find a way to re-arrange my photos.( Windows XP and Picasa lets you move your photos !! ) I have been very frustrated !
Please help ! I would be eternally grateful

Hello Dottie, Your question is a good one and has a different answer for each program.
Unfortunately the My Pictures folder will only allow you to arrange photos alphabetically. The Windows Live Gallery however, is much more flexible. When you are working in a particular photo album you will see a list of commands above the photos, including Add photos, Create folder, Slide show etc. You should see one that reads Sort by: which be default is set to Date. Next to that should be a small downward pointing arrow. Click on this command and a drop down list will appear, at the bottom of the list is an option to Arrange photos. Select this option and you will then be able to drag and drop your photos in any order you wish.
As for the Tag Your Photos lesson, if it is not up by the time you read this it will be fixed soon.
I’m glad you enjoy my lessons, thanks for watching.

Hi Bill, I am just “blown away” ! I actual got an answer ! You are “tops” with me ! As soon as I try your suggestion, I will tell my teacher Nancy about your kind help.
Thank you again, also for fixing the tag session, just finished listening to it. You are great !

Dear Bill, no such luck ! I have come to the conclusion, that since I have Windows 7 Home edition,I must probably upgrade to a better edition ! ???
I found in Wind.7 Home edition in its Wind.Live Gallery a folder and the “sort by” place. Scrolled down but no “arrange ” to hit on. (nor did I see any of the other commands like “Add Photos” you mentioned ) a lot of stuff above in the bands but nothing to click on to “arrange”
I am meeting with my computer teacher this morning. Told her about your advice but she had no luck either.
Will let you know, if we find something to stop my frustration.
Thank you so much for listening.

Hi Bill, we are still baffled.
I told the whole class how nice you are.
My teacher also is still looking for an answer.
If you ask me, I think the Windows 7 “brains” were asleep.
To me, to arrange my photos , is a big deal.
I loved XP ! The only part of Windows 7 I really like is the snipping tool !
( in case you talk to ” the brains ” !! )
Thank you again for trying to help me.
Greetings from WV

I agree with Dottie! Not impressed with Windows 7 Live Gallery at all!
Hello again Dottie. I’m sorry to see that you are still having problems and I think we misunderstood each other previously. When I told you how to arrange photos in your albums I was talking about the Window Live SkyDrive Photo Gallery. You can upload pictures and create albums where you can arrange photos anyway you wish. Sorry if I caused any confusion. There are still many great editing tools in the Windows Live Photo Gallery desktop application, including Photo Fuse which we have a video on at our YouTube TrainSignal Office channel. Hopefully this won’t sour you too much on Windows 7.
Bill
I still do not understand how to drop my pictures into windows live photos- what am I missing??
