With the release of our vSphere Security Training earlier today, our VMware vSphere 4 VCAP Training Package is finally complete.
This one of a kind training package includes everything you need to know to prepare for your VCAP-DCA exam. The courses cover the entire exam blueprint and cost less than just one of the recommended VMware VCAP classes.
But let’s back up a bit and talk about who the VCAP training is for.
What is VCAP and who is is for?
The VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP) is a new certification from VMware that comes in two designations:
- VCAP-DCA: Datacenter Administrator
- VCAP-DCD: Datacenter Designer
Both VCAP certifications are designed for current VCPs (VMware Certified Professionals) who are want to gain new recognition and opportunities in the virtualization field. The VCAP is the perfect next step for seasoned virtualization professionals looking to advance their careers.
But unlike the VCP, you are not required to complete an authorized VMware course to take the VCAP exams. This is why our VCAP training package is such a big deal; you get the same quality instruction and expertise, the same exam coverage and real-world focus at a fraction of the cost.
Here’s what our VMware vSphere 4 VCAP Training Package offers.
VMware vSphere Troubleshooting Training
Taught by vExpert David Davis, the vSphere Troubleshooting training covers section 6 of the VCAP4-DCA exam blueprint.
The training is designed to help you develop your troubleshooting skills by showing you different troubleshooting techniques and ways you can prevent downtime with your HA cluster. You’ll learn how to prevent problems from happening in the first place, and how to quickly get your vSphere back up and running if disaster should strike.
VMware vSphere Performance Monitoring Training
The vSphere Performance Monitoring training will prepare you for section 3 of the VCAP4-DCA exam blueprint and is also taught by David Davis.
The training will help you get a better understanding of your CPU performance, memory, storage and network management, your vSphere resource pools and clusters and much more. You will learn how to properly configure different options, such as a VM Guest or distributed power management, and how to use 3rd party tools, such as the free Veeam Monitor and Xangati for ESX.
VMware vSphere Security Design Training
Taught by VCDX#49 Jason Nash and VCDX#53 Lane Leverett, the vSphere Security Design training focuses on section 7 of the VCAP4-DCA exam blueprint.
The training covers all aspects of vSphere security, including vNetwork, vCenter, ESX/ESXi security, hardening virtual machines, SSL certificates, PCI compliance and much more. The training is very comprehensive and even goes into some top 3rd party security tools including the Hytrust appliance and Trend Micro Deep Security.
VMware vSphere PowerCLI Training
Taught by vExpert and PowerShell MVP, Hal Rottenberg, the vSphere PowerCLI training covers section 8 of the VCAP4-DCA exam blueprint.
The training is a challenging and fast-paced, but it will help you learn how to manage vSphere hosts, VMs, virtual networks, sotrage, vCenter, HA and clustering with PowerCLI, which will help you save time and be more productive.
