Microsoft Community Video Tips Contest

Share Your Microsoft Windows Tip Video & Win a Dell

Learning new technologies can be tough. Figuring out how to leverage new technology to solve specific problems related to your day-to-day jobs is even harder. And here at TrainSignal, that’s why in addition to teaching the technology, we strive to give you real world scenarios for how you can use technology to help you succeed in your work and personal lives.

If you have been reading our blog and enjoying our scenario-based real world approach to training, then you’ll be happy to learn that Microsoft has recently joined this same real world approach to training with their latest community effort, the Microsoft Community Video Tips campaign hosted by the Microsoft MVP program.

What is the Microsoft Community Video Tips Contest?

According to the MVP Award Program blog, Microsoft is “celebrating all the ways current Microsoft consumer products, apps and features solve people’s real world needs” by asking members from the community to:

  1. Create a short 40 second to 3 minute tip on how a product, feature, or app solves a specific problem or scenario
  2. Upload the video tip to YouTube
  3. Tag the video with #mstips
  4. And email the video link to mstips@microsoft.com

Microsoft is promising weekly winners and one grand prize, a Dell Vostro 1440 laptop computer with Windows 7, which includes an upgrade code for Windows 8.

The contest runs from August 2nd to October 3rd for select regions. Accepted submissions for the contest will be posted to the MVP Award YouTube Channel. If you would like to follow the submissions, you can also search Twitter using #mstips.

Anyone can enter! I’ve even entered a few videos myself on our MS Office YouTube Channel.

If you would like to join in on the fun and show off how a current Microsoft technology has solved a problem for you, be sure to follow the MVPAward Twitter, or visit their blog for the official rules and entry guidelines.

I hope to see you soon on YouTube!
