Video: Jeff Hicks on the Power of PowerShell

Jeff Hicks, PowerShell ExpertJeff Hicks is THE PowerShell guru. He’s a Microsoft MVP in Windows PowerShell and has over 20 years of experience in the IT field specializing in automation — helping sysadmins be more productive by doing things better, faster and easier all through PowerShell.

PowerShell is Microsoft’s extensible scripting language and corresponding command line shell that allows this productivity.

As Jeff points out in the video below, PowerShell allows you to perform nearly any mundane task through scripts saving you time and effort. So instead of doing something manually over and over, you can write a PowerShell script that will perform that same action for you.

Automation through PowerShell is definitely the future, and Jeff is leading the way through his writing contributions (books, blogs, columns, forums), speaking and training, as well as consulting.
