Ashraf Al-Dabbas (VCP 4, CCNA, CCDA, CCNP Voice, MCSE + Security, MCTS: SharePoint 2010, SQL 2008 and ISA 2006) is an MBA and certified IT professional with 8+ years of diverse experience working in a large organizations in the areas of systems, networks and user support, leading corporate wide green IT initiatives, organizing and conduction projects and social activities.
For Ashraf, IT is a passion not a profession. He is self-motivated, persistent and full of positive attitude. Exploring new technologies, learning new knowledge, visiting new places and meeting new people are the things that drive him forward. He likes to write, share ideas and interact with different people. As part of his upbringing in the Jubilee School for gifted students (Amman, Jordan), Ashraf learned to understand, accept then debate all points of view objectively and respectfully.

The hands-on labs at VMworld 2011 were a unique opportunity to experience VMware’s virtualization technology first hand. My advice to future VMworld attendees is to do as many labs as you can, as there’s no better way to learn than to do it yourself.

The solutions exchange at VMworld 2011 is by far the liveliest part of the conference and where most of the action is. See why you shouldn’t waste your time on VMworld sessions, but instead spend more time learning about the different virtualization solutions and what people are doing.
