WIRED.com used “highly scientific methodology as well as algorithms snuck out of NASA and Google” to come up with top 10 cities in the US.
Here is the short list:
- Seattle – for its late-night cafes
- San Francisco bay area – where you are required to talk “geek” during a dinner party
- Los Angeles – the birth place of MySpace
- Austin – home to Dell
- Orlando – what’s up Craigslist.com!
- Raleigh-Durham – Red Hat and IBM call it home
- Pittsburgh – has the top-ranked computer science school
- New York City – the Wi-Fi kingdom
- Boston – geeks to the power of 2 live here
- Washington, DC – because of it’s online dating service?
