A Message from VCDX#49 Jason Nash

"What I see, future-wise, is we're starting to see a great need for a mix of skill sets. Within organizations today, we're starting to see silos broken down. So, guys that used to know storage and knew it real well, or girls that knew networking and knew it real well, kind of stayed in their silos.

These days you can't do that. VMware's breaking that down. The ability to move workloads around is breaking that down. So we're starting to see this merging of skill sets and leveling of the IT field.

People like to say “cloud cloud cloud,” but it is becoming a way to manage workloads and it requires skills in more than one area. So the future of this is people are going to have to learn that, adapt to that, and if you're someone who loves technology and loves learning new things it's great because it gives you this opportunity to expand into other fields. But it gets people out of these silos and their little pigeon holes.

I think it's not just a good idea. To be successful five years from now in an IT career, that's what you're going to have to do."

"Buying your product has helped me understand more about Cisco products. I am more comfortable dealing with routers more than ever..."

I bought your Cisco CCNA course to expand my I.T. skills and to get certified. I'm also a repeat customer.

Buying your product has helped me understand more about Cisco products. I am more comfortable dealing with routers more than ever. Buying your CCNA product has greatly enhanced my overall  I.T. skills.

Before buying your product, my skills were limited to Microsoft Products. After taking your CCNA course, It gave me hands-on experience that I could not have received elsewhere. I can now say my I.T. skills not only covered Microsoft products, it also covers Cisco products which means better jobs and better salary.

Taking your CCNA course has also greatly enhanced my computer networking skills. I am now highly skilled in setting up LANS, VLANS and WANS.

I higly recommend your CCNA course to anyone. In fact, any TrainSignal product I highly recommend. I have bought 5 or 6 courses from TrainSignal already and I will continue to buy more products.

Hank Loftin
"I passed the CCNA test on the first shot..."

Your courses are very good and I wanted to learn networking. I am not a good reader and would much rather watch videos.

I am 60 years old and have a dead end job. At least I may have new networking skills that I may be able to market some day. I am taking the BSCI course from you and will go all the way to CCNP. I passed the CCNA test on the first shot. And will be taking the BSCI exam soon.

James Brochu
There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that TrainSignal is the best IT training in the world (are you kidding me?). I cannot emphasize enough how valuable your training videos have been to me (and my family).

About four years ago I stumbled into the field of IT (with no prior experience whatsoever). Up until this point, I have basically trained myself by reading hundreds and hundreds of pages from books and documentation. Needless to say, this method takes a lot of time and committment. But the more I read, is the more I fell in love with the concepts of networking.

What's my point? You guys make the learning process (as it relates to networking) almost too damn easy! And for that I am freaking ectstatic. Just think about how much farther along I could have been, had I only known about TrainSignal from the beginning.

Chris Bryant: (I LOVE HIM). Not only is he a master of what he does, but also a master at teaching.

Whoever put this company and team together, is a genius. And whoever you are, kudos to you my friend. It will be interesting to read a profile about you.

TrainSignal is the networking enthusiast's best keep secret! Boot camps, and all of the other competition is garbage.

Sheldon Sharpe
"After watching the video, I can configure and install without any documentation..."

I have been tasked with taking care of all our IDC servers consolidation with VMware. I received training from VMware, but only with ESX 2.5.

Because I was familiar with TrainSignal Training Videos, I had to get my hands on the video. I upgraded my servers from 2.5 to 3.0x and the architect was different, so therefore I ran into a lot of issues.

I needed the training to enhance my skills with ESX installation and configuration, and the video interaction is very good.

After watching this video I was able to setup a VMware ESX server.

The training has helped me become more confident in configuring the server because the hands-on training is such a great tool. I don’t have to memorize or read alot of documents in order to do this. It is so easy with the help of watching someone configure and go through the process.

After watching the video, I can configure and install without any documentation and I’m aware of all the "gotchas".

Thank you,

Tai Nguyen
"We recently setup a 2nd server and needed a refresh on the partitioning and install procedure – the training course helped us review this by walking through the process..."

I purchased this to refresh skills taken from a hands on course and to see if there were other things I could learn about the product. I did not purchase the product to complete a certification. I purchased it to offer a visual review of items we at times need to refresh on.

We recently setup a 2nd server and needed a refresh on the partitioning and install procedure – the training course helped us review this by walking through the process.

We have used it several times for this need and it has been of value and helped with what we expected it to.

The course has helped me with exactly what I had hoped, I have been able to review items that needed review and refresh my skills. I need to take more time and complete the entire course to compare the hands on course to the CD based course.

Thanks,

Quinn Fowers Manager, Information Technologies, FMC Technologies
"I am on my way to becoming an MCSE and have found your videos very informative. However, your service deserves even more praise."

I inadvertently ordered two of the same course on Routing and Remote Access and when I discovered my mistake, I was very upset.

Internet based companies are often hard to deal with. If you try to return something, they put you off -sometimes indefinitely. I was almost sure that I would encounter problems when I attempted to exchange the video.

I called Ashley on the phone and informed her of my intent to exchange the duplicate video for another. She told me that she would send the other video when I returned mine.

I sent the video back by UPS and within a few days I received a package with the new Active Directory tutorial movie. I was so impressed that your company did not try to hold the movie hostage or to delay sending it. Even though I am an avid supporter of technology, I have to agree with those who say that the age of impersonal commerce has opened doorways to poor service.

I hope your company is successful and that others realize the benefit of doing business with someone they can trust!

Sincerely,

Nancy Ashley Ware
