Scott is the Founder and Managing Consultant of THE 1610 Group. By night (and sometimes weekends, lunch, and everything in between!) Scott writes technical articles for CNet's TechRepublic, TechTarget, and TechGenix.

For TechRepublic, for whom he has written hundreds of articles, Scott writes weekly in the Servers and Storage area, monthly in the IT Leadership area and in other areas on an ad hoc basis. Scott also writes for TechTarget's SearchCIO-Midmarket site and is the lead author for TechGenix's virtualizationadmin.com site. Scott is the author of O'Reilly's Home Networking: The Missing Manual and a coauthor of Microsoft Press' Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Administrator's Companion and the MCTS Self-Paced Training Kit (Exam 70-653): Configuring Windows Small Business Server 2008 book.
